NetworkDisplays
Hey,
I'd like to get some ideas & feedback for the https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-network-displays UI. The current workflow is like this:
- Select a screen which should be shared:
- In case we have no screen we can share to:
- Select a destination where we want to stream the screen to:
- Waiting for the connection to be established:
- We are connected & streaming:
Some notes:
- The idea is to change the icon in front of the sink depending on it's type (e.g. MiraCast, ChromeCast, AirPlay etc.). We're currently in the process of adding Chromecast support, while MiraCast already exists.
- Step 1. is not part of the app, it comes from https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/xdg-desktop-portal-gnome.git -> it's not part of the app and we cannot change the dialog.
I think it would be cool to have the entire workflow integrated more tightly into the Gnome Shell (e.g. like the Chromecast inside Google Chrome or the AirPlay inside iOS devices). However not sure about the feasibility.
