Text Editor: don't prompt to save/discard when closing
This ticket is mostly intended for design discussion. Currently if you close Text Editor and there are unsaved documents, you are forced to either save your files or discard them:
I mostly use the text editor as a scatch pad - making transient notes, some of which will be transferred elsewhere, and some of which will be discarded. But sometimes I want to be able to close the text editor window and not have to go through every file with changes and either save/discard.
One answer to this might be to close silently, and cache any unsaved changes, to be restored when the app is opened again.
What do people think of this? I think the main danger might be of users amassing huge numbers of tabs with unsaved changes...
