Original description:
We should use GStreamer to read a video's creation date/time from its metadata. Based on our testing, this should work for AVI videos. We hope it will also work for Ogg videos, though we need to look into Ogg more. It will unfortunately not work for Quicktime/MP4 videos at present (see#2835).

I now think there's not much point in implementing this for 0.8, given that GStreamer can currently only return a date (not a time) and we want more precision. Seehttps://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=634999.

There's still no movement on the GStreamer front for the metadata support we need, so dropping from 0.14.
