To see the behavior:
-
Select a photo in eithercheckerboard view or bring it up in full-window view.
-
Delete the backing file.
-
Double-click to toggle between checkerboard view and full-window view. Click away on another photo and back.
Photo source file missing is reported not immediately, but after a number of clicks.

When Shotwell has the photo cached in memory, it doesn't check whether the photo file is missing every single time you try to access it. I actually think this is fine; marking as wontfix. (Jim, if you disagree feel free to reopen.)

I actually fixed this as part of completing #2440 (closed) (but forgot that this ticket was outstanding, so didn't close it). I'm assuming this is okay and the old behavior is not necessarily desirable.

Setting to default milestone for this product, "---". Setting qa contact to the default for this product. This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.
