plot-fill skips across invalid data (even when it shouldn't)

Description
Created attachment 296397 example showing fill skip when noskip is expected
See attached fill-semantics.gnumeric
The SKIP plot skips across -- and indeed connects across -- invalid data, as expected.
The NOSKIP plot has the skip feature unchecked. Note that the middle diagonal part of the red line has disappeared, as expected. Alas, the middle part of the filled region is still there, which is not desired or expected.
The MOCKUP plot shows the desired appearance. This was done without using invalid data (since it is only a mockup) but the final appearance matches the desired noskip behavior.
