Main window is too big on 1300x700 resolution
Main window of gnome-software has too big height and overflows screen with 1300x700 resolution. It's partially solved by Mutter which has /org/gnome/mutter/auto-maximize
setting enabled by default but user can unmaximize window and …ugh it's not good user experience because content on the bottom is not visible.
Screenshot with unmaximized window:
It's possible to move window, using modifier key, to see bottom of it:
I understand that gnome-software is designed for bigger resolutions but there is still a lot of people with 1300x700: http://gs.statcounter.com/screen-resolution-stats/desktop/worldwide/#monthly-201802-201902 . Please do not ignore them.
There are two solutions to fix this problem:
- introducing some handy algorithm (instead hard coded sizes) which sets windows sizes by percent of screen resolution,
- reducing hard coded height.
I will send MR with second solution but I will understand if you won't like it.
This is not duplicate of #15 (closed) because this issue is not related to tablet/mobile devices at all.
