Some regressions around the new overview implementation
Just making a list of everything I noticed so far (context: !1305 (merged), !1345 (merged)). Sorry for the sloppy description :)
-
when scrolling workspaces in the overview (using touchpad), window previews do not scroll in any more but appear only at the end of the transition. They do behave correctly while 'going out', but not while 'coming in' (fixed in !1360 (merged)) - STR: open overview (with window previews present), scroll to next workspace, scroll back)
-
there's a new, inconsistent fade out animation for the focus window when showing the app grid when the overview was shown previously (fixed in !1362 (merged)) - STR:
super
(open overview),super
(close overview),super
+a
(open app grid) -> weird fade out animation - the same does not happen when opening the app grid again:
super
+a
(open app grid),super
(close app grid),super
+a
(open app grid again)
- STR:
-
sometimes when launching apps from app grid ( super
, type something,enter
), the window preview for the last focused window is animated (similar to what was fixed in !1353 (merged)) (fxied in !1362 (merged)) -
If the cursor is on the right side so that after opening the overview the workspace bar get activated / fully shown, if the overview gets closed again during the animation to fully show the side bar, the zoom back animation for the window previews is slightly buggy. This usually happens when I have my cursor on the right to hide it and then open and close the overview within less then one second.
TBC, please feel free to rephrase what I tried to describe! I can also add videos if needed.
