Think about using s3-image instead iso-image for the openQA tests

The iso-installer-x86_64 is a manual job that is supposed to be used by merge requests. You probably want to use s3-image instead, which runs on the master branch in scheduled pipelines (twice a day). But then, you should download the images from S3 rather than having then in artifacts.
Then it might make sense not to have it be manual.

That's an interesting idea, the tradeoff would be that the OpenQA testing can only ever be a scheduled job, rather than a per-MR job. That would reduce its visibility. Will the OpenQA testing still be useful, if a change that breaks an OpenQA test can still be merged to 'master'?

We can have an additional manual job on the MR pipeline like the current images, but as you noticed it takes time to build so I'd rather not force it on every MR. We should hopefully figure out soon enough that it broke so that we can easily identify the responsible commit.
