Superfluous space in tree view for unnamed widgets
It's a nitpick, but there is superfluous spacing in the tree view when widgets have no object ID set:
The labels seems to be the following:
-
GtkBox
(note the leading space)-
GtkButton
(same) open-recent-file GtkButton
-
It seems pleasant that the type is italic, as it visually separates the type from the actual object ID. (Perhaps it could use some additional accentuation such as <GtkButton>
, but I'm no designer or UX expert by any means, so don't take my word for it
My suggestion is to either remove the leading space or to add some sort of placeholder, though the latter would also need some kind of separate styling to clearly indicate that it's not an actual name, but a placeholder instead, and it would add additional visual noise.
