Python scripts are detected as valid apps
Just tried the app for the first time and had some ibus-$whatever
python app running in the background
From a quick check, https://gitlab.gnome.org/feaneron/aleveny/-/blob/main/src/aleveny-sidebar-row.c?ref_type=heads#L66 is the problematic bit. It seems that g_application_id_is_valid("main.py")
is valid :P
I can't think of a good solution here:
- Drop the icons altogether? as the names seems to be basically the binary name
- Ignore anything that ends with
.py
? not really great, because tomorrow you would get something similar with gjs/ruby or any interpreted programming language - Maybe there is some way to map the binary name to the app-id?
