Don't delete ~/Recordings
Description of the bug
Sound Recorder version: 3.38.0
Operating system: Arch Linux
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a directory at ~/Recordings
- Open Sound Recorder
Expected result: Directory at ~/Recordings will continue to exist
Actual result: Directory at ~/Recordings and all contents will be silently deleted
I had a directory at ~/Recordings that I was using for OBS. I opened Sound Recorder and the directory and its contents were silently deleted.
I see that the default recording directory was moved from ~/Recordings to ~/.local/share/org.gnome.SoundRecorder, and that to ease the transition the files in the old default were moved to the new default with (old) added to the filename. All well and good.
But then it deletes ~/Recordings and apparently I can never use a folder with that name again if I use sound recorder.
Not cool. Perhaps it can just leave the old empty folder as a bit of cruft instead of silently deleting my files.
