Renaming feature should pre-select the name part without the file extension
Like Nautilus and other apps, Vocalis (GNOME Sound Recorder) should select only the part without the file extension when entering renaming mode.
For example, in version 43.beta (the latest publicly released/available for me to use), if I have a recording called "banana apples.mp3" and I click the rename button, it selects the entire string, instead of selecting everything except the ".mp3" part.
This is important not just for convenience, but also for non-technical users (like my parents) who don't have the notion of file extension and tend to immediately hit Backspace
(or start typing) as soon as they click the rename button, without even realizing that they are accidentally throwing out the file extension.
This is probably a newcomers-friendly issue; however, be careful not to recreate bug #17 (closed) as a side-effect of fixing this issue.
