Music Playback Resumes when toggling Equalizer
Environment
- Lollypop version:
1.4.35
- GTK+ version:
gtk-launch --version
:3.24.33
- Operating system: Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS
Steps to Replicate
- Play some music.
- Pause said music.
- Go into the hamburger menu and select
Equalizer
- Note: I have a non-default equalizer setting, and did not test on a vanilla install
- Tick the box to enable or disable the equalizer.
- See issue
Expected behavior
If the enable box was unchecked, then the equalizer should be able to be edited, and audio playback will not resume.
If the enable box was checked, the equalizer should become greyed out and not editable, and audio playback will not resume.
Actual behavior
Expected behavior is achieved except that audio playback is resumed.
Commentary
I think that this should either be a setting, or that this should not be expected behavior. I came across this when I was going to turn the equalizer off, long after last listening to music, and I was not in a location where I wanted to play music, but I was going to disable the eq for later, so i wouldnt forget when I would play audio on a different speaker where the eq settings were inappropriate, and all of a sudden I was playing music without directly commanding it.
I do, however, think it to be appropriate that if audio is already playing that toggling the eq should not pause playback.
