When restoring state, lollypop should always start paused
So in my opinion, when Lollypop starts up and restores state, it should always start paused.
Restoring state is great, should be the default in my opinion, but it can be really annoying if I haven't opened the app in a while, and some track starts blaring at full volume as soon as I open it.
So I propose a few options, am curious what might be most acceptable:
- Leave everything as is, but simply always start paused.
- Try to get smart, start playing if the app was last opened recently, but start paused if it's been a while. (A while should be short, maybe an hour.)
- Add an additional setting, so that when restore state is toggled on, "always start paused" or something similar can also be toggled on.
- Do nothing, restore state means restore state, and I can turn it off if I don't like play being part of that state.
I would like to simply go with option one, adding an additional preference doesn't seem worth the clutter. Option two would work well for me at least, but I don't like it when apps try to be too smart, the behavior can seem inconsistent and feel like a bug.
