Automatic encrypted Backup shows wrong password dialog when starting backup
Summary
I have currently the issue, that automatic encrypted backups are not working as expected.
I currently configured dejadup to make a daily encrypted backup. When the backup process starts I get a notification, that my password for the backup is required. After clicking the notification it shows not the password enter dialog but the password creation dialog, which is wrong. I workaround it by opening dejadup and doing a manual backup. This makes the automatic backups rather useless.
It would be nice if it would at least show the correct password dialog. It would be optimal if it could remember the entered password, but the checkbox in the dialog does not work.
Reproduction Steps
- Open Dejadup and configure an encrypted backup
- Configure Scheduling to daily backups
- Wait for the notification that asks for the password
- Click the notification
Observed: It shows the password creation dialog. Wanted: It shows the password enter dialog
Observed: Clicking the remember password checkbox does not remember the passsword. Wanted: Clicking the remember password checkbox does remember the passsword.
