When searchbar is visible but defocused, Ctrl+F toggles it off instead of refocusing it
Thank you for Apostrophe 3.0!
I see the behavior of the searchbar has improved a bit as per #434 (closed) (also related to @bertob's #494 (closed)).
There remains a corner case though:
-
Ctrl+F
to show the search bar, then search something - Click somewhere in the document's text view (defocusing the searchbar)
-
Ctrl+F
again to try to refocus the searchbar
Actual result: the search bar gets toggled off. You have to Ctrl+F
another time to toggle it back on.
Expected result:
- Only focus the search bar in this situation.
- More generally, in line with #434 (closed) and #494 (closed), I would say that the expected shortcut to toggle off the searchbar would be
Esc
only; I would recommend not bindingCtrl+F
to toggle on/off, only to "on" (i.e. only show). This would be the safest approach.
