Parsing differences between editor and preview for italics and bold styles
Describe the bug When adding to a paragraph italics of bold multiple times, the editor is confused at where the styled text ends, easily replicated when the text contains dots. The pandoc generated preview has no problem with the output.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Start a new document and enable the preview too.
- Write this paragraph:
The last word of this sentence should be _italic_. But not this text.
- The italic text is shown in the editor as italic correctly.
- Now write this:
The last word of this sentence should be _italic_. But not this text but it is because we have this version number in italics here _1.0.1_
- Notice the editor and the preview differ, from
_italic_
to the end of the paragraph the text is shown as italic on the editor.
Expected behavior The editor should try to mimic where the start and end of italics and bold styles ends as the preview and final output document generated.
