Unreliable heading detection/rendering
Describe the bug
Since recently, Apostrophe doesn't detect headings reliable anymore. If I start typing in a new or opened file, headings are mostly (not always) not detected [1]. This means they are not rendered bold in the edit window, but not in the pandoc pdf export too!
If I delete and reenter the space between the hashtag and the heading text (one or sometimes twice or three times) the heading is then detected again [2].
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Open Apostrophe
- Type in a heading, e.g.
# Heading
- The heading is not rendered
Expected behavior
I expect every heading I type or is present in an opened file to be rendered as a heading in the editor as well as all exports that support headings.
Screenshots
Environment(please complete the following information):
- Linux distribution: Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS x86_64
- Desktop Enviroment: Gnome
- DE version: 42.3.1
- GTK version: How can I find out my GTK version (in flatpak)? I don't know and internet search wasn't useful.
Additional context
Other markup like bold, italic, quotes, code, etc. work fine.
The faulty not-rendered headings are persistent, i.e. if I close and reopen the file, the same headings are or are not rendered as headings.
Things that didn't resolve the issue:
- Restart Apostrophe
- Restart my device
- Reinstall Apostrophe
- Install Apostrophe using Nix
When I start Apostrophe using the CLI, the following messages are printed:
Gtk-Message: 16:03:45.704: Failed to load module "appmenu-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: 16:03:46.058: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
I tried to install these GTK modules, but I didn't manage to make these messages to go away.
