Smart quotes
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Most Markdown flavors available in Apostrophe don't support converting straight quotes to typographic/curly quotes. (The only one is Pandoc.) If you want to get typographically correct quotes in the output, you have to type them yourself in the source. This is awkward, likely requiring copy-pasting, unless you have a compose key (which is a niche feature). This means that by default, most users will get typographically wrong output (straight quotes) in most cases. Even for users with a compose key, using the correct quotes (entering a code, instead of a single keystroke) is difficult to remember when I'm typing.
Describe the solution you'd like Many text environments support "smart quotes," where straight quotes are automatically converted to curly quotes. This applies to double and single quotes, and apostrophes.
Describe alternatives you've considered I'm not sure. Include buttons for nicer typographical characters?
MultiMarkdown claims to support typographic quotes, but does not work in Apostrophe preview. Perhaps this can be mitigated for that flavor by configuring properly. This would not fix any of the other flavors though, like plain Markdown.
