Deprecations: remove deprecated APIs

It includes (sorry) the translation fixes as well. Don't know how to make this PR cleaner, though.

This PR (commit aa34ecbf) fixes a couple of deprecation warnings, except for those from libsoup, which needs its own fixes, it seems.
