Hardware Volume switch overlay blocks shell touch interactions
Environment: phosh/phoc 0.27.0, L5 mobile phone, pureos 10, gnome 3.38 base.
Steps to repeat:
- use volume hardware switch
- observe volume overlay is displayed
- touch volume overlay to adjust volume
- observe nothing happens
- touch application behind overlay and attempt to interact with app drawer or application (this can be done by continuously pressing and releasing volume hardware buttons)
- Observe nothing happens
What it should be doing:
- allows touch interaction with volume overlay as additional volume slider when and after being initiated by volume hardware buttons and after indicator receives touch focus, on receiving touch focus could also delay volume slider fade out time when compared to volume button initiated indicating
- Allow full shell touch interactions around the volume indicator overlay without any limits, user should be able to continue to use, type, swipe, zoom, switch apps while volume indicator is displayed. For the volume indicator to essentially lock the entire OS is not the intent i believe.
