Configure keyboard settings from gsettings

Needs commits rearrange but should be mostly good to go now after !95 (merged) is in. We could avoid the libgnome-desktop dependency by assuming that layout and variant are encoded like layout+variant in gsettings which seems to be true but since we want to display the current language on keyboard switch and the used function provides this as well we might also use it right away.
