'dialog' or 'dialogue'
en_GB.pl translated dialog to dialogue, even when referring to computer dialogues: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-i18n/blob/master/en_GB/en_GB.pl#L237
Alan Horkan on https://wiki.gnome.org/BritishEnglish mentioned:
?AlanHorkan believes this should not be translated when referring to the Computer Dialog Widgets, for the same reasons we do not translate program. For what it is worth (not much) Wikipedia agrees that British spelling does not normally change dialog when referring to a computer "dialog box". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spelling_differences#-ogue_.2F_-og
The only style guides I could find referring to computer dialogues in particular were Acorn's, listed here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_style_guides#For_the_computer_industry_(software_and_hardware)
The one that's freely available mentions:
A window used for a dialogue with an application or the desktop is a dialogue box. These are discussed in detail below.
Any other, more modern, style guides that could be used as reference? Guides from Apple, Microsoft or Google for their respective OSes would be nice.
