Shotwell: Wrong event dates in catalan language
Mandatory: Shotwell version the issue was seen with
0.24.5 , catalan language localization
The expected behaviour
Events and images are shown with their correct time when the picture is taken.
What was actually happening
Dates are messed up, usually the month is right but not the day. This happens since many, many, many versions/years ago. Here you can see a 8 years old thread about this issue: https://shotwell.yorba.narkive.com/X8oVfbzi/shotwell-wrong-event-dates . Apparently, for what I checked also many years ago to solve the issue, in some websites that I haven't been able to find again anymore, it's about a wrong order about the year / month / day sequence in the translation string.
Steps to reproduce the issue
Install Debian Stretch 9 and localize it to catalan language and with GNOME Desktop. Install Shotwell if necessary. Import pictures in a wide enough (three months, for example) timespan to reproduce the error. Check the timestamps shown in Shotwell and compare them to the shown in other applications such as Darktable.
To solve the issue I replace a shotwell.mo file inside the "ca" catalan localisation folder with a modified one which many years ago I managed to adapt, probably from the english localization. Here I'm attaching a zip file with the wrong and modified file.
