Discussion
**Sri** gave feedback on the Badges meeting held last week. The decision is that it's something good to do as it improves diversity inclusion.
**Perrie** asked if the Badges system will be event-based or project-based.
**Samson** said we can make research on how organizations who are using badges presently or in the past on how they went about it.
The chat platform badge system helps improve communication between people presently on the platform or people just coming into the community.
**Ruth** also agreed to Samson on these points and shared her experience about how badges could help encourage people on contributing to the Gnome project.
**Yoma** also suggested about having some people's person on the platform as it will make people feel welcomed.
**Sri** pointed out that the [Gnome Home Page](www.gnome.org) should provide the basic information about the project.
He also said it is also good to know the statistics of platforms through which people entered the project so as to have better data.
He also said priority sometimes is determined by what people are interested in.
We will have people from `Open-Stack` next Saturday the 18th of July to share their experience with Onboarding and also get information on how to go about Onboarding. The purpose is to know what resources we have, what will need to do, and where people need to go, what do companies contribute to opensource, how do we understand people's personality e.t.c.
**Samson** gave an explanation on how to implement `All Contributor` on Github and he said he will make a research on how it could be implemented on GitLab.
**Perrie** gave feedback on the iteration meeting on the interactive map. The present status of the interaction map is here:
