split clocks app
world clocks, alarms, timer, chronometer are all in 1 window in gnome. this is what most systems do. it's skeuomorphic, but these activities aren't commonly used together (maybe setting an alarm after looking at timezones, but most users probably do it with a web search anyway). the implementation also has these problems:
- the user can type for example "timer" in the shell search, press enter, and have World Clocks open.
- the window's minimum height is too tall because the timer tab in the stack prevents it from going smaller
- it's not possible to have two of these activities side by side in two windows.
- the time that the icon displays is always wrong.
splitting it would also make it easier to replace one of the functions with another 3rd-party program, such as Furtherance, Punchclock, or Timetrack
