xdg-user-dirs-gtk can confuse users
xdg-user-dirs-gtk appears when changing the system language, asking to update the xdg-folder names to match the new language. However:
- The implications of this change might no be understandable for inexperienced users
- Data isn't migrated
- What if an user selects "don't ask again" but then wants to update the names after that?
What if Nautilus used aliases for xdg-folders? When changing the system language only the alias would change, making the directories to remain intact.
