Settings: consider removing the Removable Media panel
- This panel is under-maintained, see: https://discourse.gnome.org/t/maintainership-of-gnome-settings/12866. Its design (specially the "Other Media" window) wasn't been updated in the GTK4 port, for example
- GtkAppChooser, which powers this panel, will be deprecated in GTK 4.10
- Nautilus already shows a banner to run a program
- Cloud storage is being used a lot nowadays
- Smartphones are very popular nowadays. It replaces CDs, DVDs, music players and cameras for a lot of people
To not entirely remove this functionality, perhaps Nautilus could be updated to add actions such as open a photo manager and media player apps by detecting if there are a lot of audio/image files.
