Description
I'm a specialist for human machine interfaces, a former teacher of compoter science and microelectronics and today I'm visiting bugzilla.gnome.org for the first time. It's totally crazy, but it's only for insiders and most of the users aren't that kind of people. Sorry, I have to say it so hard: If I would try to let deliver such an interface to a customer, it would be my last one.
I'm understanding now, why a lot of bugs in GIMP are outlasting for such a long time. In January of the last year I had been giving an order to my service engineer, to report couple problems of GIMP. He refused the job as being "unconscionable". There may have been additional problems in understanding the english terms but thats not the main problem. In bugzilla the fences are too high and if there are additional translation problems visitors will press the backspace. I did only try to support the wonderful GIMP-creators, but I accepted, for our team can live with these bypassable or minor bugs.
You postulate for several selections from parts and items nobody else than insiders are knowing exactly, what they mean.
I've tried to work around and after the order at the beginning of the procedure "First, you must pick a product on which to enter a bug: " I had written "GIMP" into the search box in the top line in the hope that this page may be clever programmed. The resulr: Hanging in an endless. "https://bugzilla.gnome.org/buglist.cgi?no_redirect=1&quicksearch=GIMP" That is not the only trap I've find on the page.
I have learned, that if you take away the stumbling blocks for the beginners the general acceptance of a program is bettering. In front of this I beseech: Give a cordon to that people, who may be dabblers in your eyes.
Nevertheless, in frienship N.M.
