More generic name for references to master branch
Description
When a translator tries to commit a translation in another branch than the main development branch, he/she has the ability to attempt a cherry-pick. The UI strings for this explicitly reference this as the "master" branch. Given that more and more projects change to main/mainline/devel/whatever instead of master, these strings may be misleading (or, for what it's worth, just technically incorrect).
Proposal
I propose to use another wording that uses a more generic reference to the main development branch. Maybe something along the following:
-
"Sync with master"
->"Sync with main branch"
"Try to cherry-pick the commit to the main development branch"
- ...
although I can see that this may be misunderstood as well.
I haven't checked it, but maybe the name of the main development branch can be parametrised here:
-
"Sync with master"
->"Sync with '%s' branch"
"Try to cherry-pick the commit to the branch '%s'"
- ...
