Help wanted: cannot use `httpd` with Fedora 40 in a container
Hi there,
I’m looking for some help, because I tried to update the base image for the Damned Lies container (damned-lies!87 (merged)).
After updating, it becomes impossible to start the service (damned-lies-testing
configuration on OpenShift).
I receive the following message when calling httpd -DFOREGROUND
, in OpenShift but NOT locally:
sh-5.2$ httpd -D FOREGROUND
AH00543: httpd: bad user name apache
I am running Fedora 40 or Fedora 39 with Python 3.12. Locally, both images work properly.
Any idea of what could happen on OpenShift side?
The current container that is running for production was created the 6th of April so I guess there is a change since that day that prevents the container to run. Something related to k8s security policy?
