Double-click to select a range of words in GitLab’s WYSIWYG editor
Summary
When I use the WYSIWYG editor in a GitLab issue (for the description or a comment), I cannot double-click to select a range of words. When I move the mouse to select the word next to the 1st clicked, it selects all the words until the end of physical line.
Hopefully, it doesn’t happen with the plain-text editor.
Steps to reproduce
- Start to create a new issue in GitLab.
- Switch to the WYSIWYG editor.
- Type at least 2 words.
- On the 1st word, start a double-click, that is,
<press><release><press>
. - Move the mouse, going to the left.
The 2nd word is also selected.
What is the current bug behavior?
When I use the WYSIWYG editor in a GitLab issue, I cannot double-click to select a range of words. When I double-click on a word, it’s right. But when I move the mouse to select the word next to it, it selects all the words until the end of physical line.
What is the expected correct behavior?
When I use the WYSIWYG editor in a GitLab issue, I should be able to double-click to select a range of words, like with the plain-text editor. That is, when I move the mouse to select the word next to it, it should add the word under the mouse to the selection, but not any other (like in any text editor).
