Performance with large directories

Version: 2.0.3, flatpak

When adding a directory for the first time, there is a severe performance degradation within the app (freezing or stuttering). The more images a directory has, the larger the performance penalty.

This is also seen when the configured directory grows and Hydrapaper hasn't been used recently (opening the app seems to do nothing, giving the impression that it instantly crashed while its actually running in the background indexing the new images before starting the UI).
