Annoying behavior of find bar and scrolling

Description
Original report from Tarlika Elisabeth Schmitz: http://bugs.debian.org/525600
When using 'Find', the find bar appears at the bottom of the window. If the expression I searched for is at the bottom of the page, I typically want to scroll down a few lines to get a bit of context. To do that, I click on the bottom scroll arrow.
Once you have clicked the scroll down arrow once, the find bar disappears. This means that the mouse pointer is no longer positioned over the scroll down arrow but over the scroll bar. Consequently, the next click will scroll down by a page, not by one line.
This drives me absolutely nuts, as I intuitively, click, click, click to move down a few lines. But if you do that the search word disappears off the screen! It took me a while to appreciate what was happening. Obviously, I now click the arrow once, then reposition my mouse carefully, and click a couple more times. But that is a nuisance and I need to think about it consciously.
Possible solution: don't hide the find bar after scrolling.
