Description
Created attachment 369685 A screenshot showcasing how the translations are displayed in a translated documentation and in the original documentation
Hello, I am one of the Romanian translators and I noticed that the (longer) translations for video subtitles do not fit the given screen space.
Also the original text (under the C locale) have a surrounding yellow box, the translated versions do not have that box.
Steps to reproduce: 0 - Follow the compilation steps provided in the Localization wiki [1] To summarize: a. Download the git repo files b. $ cd gnome-help c. $ mkdir tmp d. $ cd C (The following step is necessary to have the video and images working) e. $ cp -R * ../tmp f. $ for i in *.page; do xml2po -m mallard -p ../ro/ro.po $i > ../tmp/$i; done
- open the resulted file: a. $ yelp ../tmp/getting-started.page
- click play on the middle video (labeled: "Comutarea între sarcini", Translation: Switching tasks)
- Notice that when the text is longer the GUI behaves wierd, the video frame gets stretched out. This does not happen when I test the documentation in the C locale because there is a surrounding yellow box that wrapps the text nicely.
- See Screenshot to see what I mean.
