Make sure that xdg-desktop-portal-gtk doesn't depend on X11
Hi,
I'm running Debian Testing with GNOME-Wayland 42.4
As you may know, since GNOME 40, Wayland sessions benefit from XWayland on-demand. Last time I checked, X11 was not running on my system but now it is.
See result of $ xlsclients :
HAL gsd-xsettings
HAL ibus-x11
HAL gnome-shell
HAL xdg-desktop-portal-gnome
I wonder if xdg-desktop-portal-gnome may be the one to "blame" for that.
I don't remember seeing xdg-desktop-portal-gnome entry before as a result of the xlsclients command
It's possible that I've installed it trying to solve that Firefox bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1621915 (see also https://github.com/flathub/org.mozilla.Thunderbird/issues/256, gsettings-desktop-schemas#31 (closed) etc. – a bug that is still pending BTW)
In brief, I suspect xdg-desktop-portal-gnome to depend on X11 and therefore to prevent my system running without X11.
Thanks !
