File chooser dialogs show behind Qt windows when using gnome file-chooser portal
Hope this is the correct place to file this bug -- please close if not!
I've been experiencing a reproducible issue across a number of workstations on recent Fedora versions (including 34 and 35) under the gnome environment, where any file chooser dialogs spawned by Qt applications are incorrectly shown behind the application window. These also appear to be "detached" from the application, in that they appear in the window list as a separate application with the window title "portal".
I've tracked this down to the gnome file-chooser portal itself. If I forcibly disable the portal by modifying /usr/share/xdg-desktop-portal/portals/gtk.portal and removing the "org.freedesktop.impl.portal.FileChooser;" string from the "Interfaces=" line, then the non-portal file dialogs are shown correctly and there's no window stacking issues at all.
Is this a known issue? Can you direct me to the best place to file this to get this resolved?
