Terminal Reset and Clear menu option does not reset echo to on

Description
If you have to kill a program running in a terminal, and that program was in echo off mode (i.e. characters entered at the keyboard are not echoed directly), it will still be in echo off mode, if the result of the kill is a return to bash. (Other shells might not be affected, so this could be argued to be fundamentally due to a bash bug. I don't know.) But anyway, if you then choose Reset and Clear from the Terminal menu, the echo is not reset to on. So, the only thing you can do is type "reset [ENTER]" without being able to see what you are typing. This is not very user-friendly.
