Transparency switch when root window changed

Description
Package: Gnome-Terminal Version: 1.2.1 Severity: Wishlist
When using a program (like wallp) to rotate the desktop picture, it's annoying that the "transparent" background of the terminals stays with the old picture. Would it be possible to have an option to have the terminal poll the root window at a specified interval (every 2-5 min or so?) to look for changes and update the transparency?
