Monitor flickering (for 2 seconds) related to gnome-terminal
Hey! I've got quite a strange issue. I've been running openSUSE Tumbleweed (both with GNOME 45 and the current GNOME 46 Alpha) where I use gnome-terminal
. What happens is that once an hour my display flickers (it turns off and then after 2 secs it's back) and when I immediately check journalctl
, I get always the following line:
Jan 24 14:58:08 kettlebell systemd[2336]: Started VTE child process 24490 launched by gnome-terminal-server process 3321.
Note the issue typically happens if I'm not in gnome-terminal and yes, my journal is full of these messages if I open a new tab in gnome-terminal
.
I'm running on AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core Processor
integrated GPU with a 4k display:
