Description
I often use vim for development, and need to write in (Perso-)Arabic. If I want to copy/paste and search for something (
`<e>``<p>``<l>`абрешим<s n="n"/>`</l>``<r>`ابریشم<s n="n"/>`</r>``</p>``</e>`
When I copy/paste the text in gnome-terminal (from/into vim for example):
ﺎﺑﺭیﺶﻣ
$ echo "ﺎﺑﺭیﺶﻣ" | hexdump 0000000 baef ef8e 91ba baef dbad ef8c b6ba bbef 0000010 0aa3
However, when I copy/paste the text in gedit I get:
ابریشم
$ echo "ابریشم" | hexdump
0000000 a7d8 a8d8 b1d8 8cdb b4d8 85d9 000a
000000d
The second is the desirable result.
Resolution: RESOLVED NOTGNOME
