Description
Please describe the problem: I am running Terminator in Ubuntu Jaunty and the settings to enable "real" transparency (i.e. that offered by an RGBA colormap when running a compositing manager) produce errors from vte:
(terminator:16305): Vte-CRITICAL **: _vte_pangocairo_set_background_scroll: assertion `data->bg_pattern != NULL' failed
(terminator:16305): Vte-CRITICAL **: _vte_pangocairo_clear: assertion `data->bg_pattern != NULL' failed
(Terminator is a python app which uses the vte bindings, and the same code works with vte 0.17.4-0ubuntu1 in Ubuntu Intrepid)
Was filed as a bug against Terminator at https://bugs.launchpad.net/terminator/+bug/330295 , Behdad requested the filing of this bug against VTE
