Every webm videos are showing completely black videos only on totem
So my current issue is that every time a webm file is opened totem is showing a completely black video (audio work), mpv and even web browser (chromium and firefox) can play it.
Not supporting webm should be fine, but the gnome native screen recorder save recording as webm.
My 2 solutions are either to tell the gnome team that work on gnome-shell, to save recording as an mp4 or any other properly supported formats on totem (edge case of course), or find a way fix webm videos not being properly watchable through totem.
I don't have any logs to provide since opening totem in a terminal yield nothing.
I have this issue on Fedora Workstation 37 which has Gnome 43.2 and also totem-1:43.0-1.fc37.x86_64 bundled by default. I have not tried a nightly version, since I'm not sure where i could find it.
I have also found this issue #239 (closed) which oddly enough say that this is fixed on Fedora 29?
This bug could be reproduced in Fedora 28 totem but seems fixed in Fedora 29.
This is a similar issue but also not the same?
A way to easily reproduce this is to record your desktop and watch the webm video with totem (in case you don't know how to screen record with Gnome the default keybind is Ctrl+Shift+Alt+R or simply the print key).
I will be happy to provide any help I can provide to fix this issue.
ps: This is an issue that should hopefully be fixed since any Linux newbies may find it weird that their video player is not showing them some videos properly.
