sound is always output on more than 2 channels even when preference is set to "stereo"
I run all my audio through a USB-attached mixer with 18 usb inputs and outputs, but I'd prefer the videos app output send stereo (for example, when playing DVDs).
Under "Preferences", the "Audio" tab, there's an "Audio output type", and I assumed setting it to stereo should accomplish this. But instead it always sends 6 channels, which I then have to mix by hand if I want to listen in stereo. (I don't actually have a multi-speaker system, I'm usually just listening through headphones.)
I'm on totem-3.38-0-6.fc34, but I think the behavior was the same on previous Fedora versions. I don't know if this is actually an issue with Totem or some other component.
