Equalize ‘go back’ and ‘go forward’ times
I am aware that this issue is almost purely a subjective one, but throughout the years, I keep hitting it again and again. Despite reading the keyboard shortcuts documentation multiple times, I repeatedly become confused, as I expect that seeking forward would move by the same amount as seeking backwards would.
The expectation comes from the fact that, many other video services or apps use equal jumps, namely:
- Youtube (5s, 10s on mobile)
- Vimeo (10s)
- VLC (10s)
- MPV (5s)
A use-case can be, e.g. when a user jumps back too far and want to return one step. Without reading the documentation, such an action leads to almost sporadic behaviour.
The question also arises if the 15s default jump time is too long. I commonly use this feature to jump back when mishearing; 15s for that purpose takes too far back.
