Revisit xml parser used by totem-pl-parser
I am encountering issues with the xine xmlparser included with totem-pl-parser
, when manipulating CDATA. A little debugging revealed that xine xmlparser, is have issues handling CDATA ( empty content / 1 word content etc ),

I tried looking into the current code of xine xmlparser, but could not apply a direct copy, as it was using some private headers which are xine only. This process of syncing the parser code is cumbersome and adds extra time and effort overhead.
So,

I was thinking whether xine xmlparser is still a good candidate for totem-pl-parser ( If yes, some clarification on why would be useful ), or should we look into other xml parsers.

Rhythmbox hogs a lot of CPU while parsing feeds with lot of episodes. I am not sure, if this is due to xine xmlparser, or is it common to all xml parsers.
