Feature request: PDF annotation like macOS preview
- Version: all
- Distribution: all
Maybe I'm wrong but I understand that Sushi tries to be a Linux alternative for Mac file preview. One greatly celebrated feature of Mac file preview is the ability to annotate PDF files, and even image files. Is this feature on the scope of this project?
What I expect
When previewing a PDF file with sushi, the preview only shows the pages of the PDF, one after another, without providing any other functionality. When comparing with file preview on macOS, I see that some features are missing, specifically the ability to annotate the PDF.
In macOS, when previewing a PDF file, you get a top bar with tools to add text, shapes or free-form drawing to the PDF file.
What happens instead
There is no functionality on top of a simple PDF viewing interface so users coming from macOS may find the file preview lacking in functionality.
