Cannot rip from CD if data track is mounted

Description
If a data track is mounted when sound-juicer starts up, it does not display any tracks in the interface.
If a data track is mounted after sound-juicer starts up, then subsequent attempts to rip fail:
(repeats on stderr) Error trying to open /dev/hdc exclusively (Device or resource busy). retrying in 1 second. (dialog) Sound Juicer could not extract this CD. Reason: Could not open CD device for reading. (dialog) Sound Juicer could not extract this CD. Reason: Could not seek to track
In either case, to rip the CD it must be ejected and reinserted without mounting. This is not obvious.
sound-juicer should do something smart like unmounting the data tracks before ripping, or at least give better instructions.
Also, in the first case (data track mounted when sound-juicer starts) the track data should be read non-exclusively. gnome-cd does this, so it's possible, though I don't know how feasible.
