No Camera Found, on PopOS
I'm using System76 Laptop with PopOS
$ uname -a
Linux system76 6.6.10-76060610-generic #202401051437~1704728131~22.04~24d69e2 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Mon J x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Camera Version 45.2 installed from flatpack
Library Details:
- Aperture 0.4.0
- GStreamer 1.22.5
- Pipewire 0.3.83
- Gtk 4.12.4
found some troubleshooting steps that suggest checking if PipeWire
is installed (it is) as well as libcamera
(also present)
but the following commands return nothing:
$ flatpak run --command=gst-device-monitor-1.0 org.gnome.Snapshot Video/Source
$ pw-dump |grep default.video.source
I do get some response when running:
$ gst-device-monitor-1.0 | grep -i camera
name : Chicony USB2.0 Camera: Chicony
device.product.name = "Chicony\ USB2.0\ Camera:\ Chicony"
device.serial = Sonix_Technology_Co.__Ltd._Chicony_USB2.0_Camera
v4l2.device.card = "Chicony\ USB2.0\ Camera:\ Chicony\ "
