Confirmation message when changes on user-defined large number of files
Please describe the problem you are trying to solve
When having a lot of files in Shotwell, it can happen that you wrongly selected a lot of files (maybe all of them when in "Photos" sections!!!) and apply a tag (or other changes on files), it will apply the changes on all the targeted files (expected) and if the option "write metadata to files" is selected, then you have no quick solution to revert the changes!
Other solutions you have considered
It would be nice if an option would exist in the Shotwell options to enable a warning message before any changes against more than a threshold number (user choice, i.e., number input box in options, like "1000") of files. In that case, it will popup a confirmation message when in example the changes applies on 1000 or more files, avoiding the issue of doing a (mistake on) huge amount of files.
To resume:
- having an option (switch : on/off) to enable/disable warning message
- when above option enabled, having a input field to enter a number of files
- of course, do not make the changes if after the warning message (like "You will do changes on xxxxx number of files, are you sure you want to proceed? Yes/No), user answered "no", DO NOT apply the changes :)
